BetJACK rolled out a new commercial late last week aiming to leverage its position as the only sports betting app “developed in the state of Ohio for the state of Ohio.”
The ad features three fans in Ohio, each imitating the pre-game quirks of some of the biggest names in Ohio sports, and reinforces the idea that Ohioans should use a homegrown product for wagering.
“Ohio is not just a state — it’s a state of mind, a code of conduct, and a badge of honor. For our players, there’s an unapologetic hometown pride,” Adam Suliman, senior vice president of sports & digital gaming for JACK Entertainment. said via press release. “We’re thrilled betJACK is the only sportsbook app with real insight into the Buckeye State.”

Live sports betting is set to launch in Ohio on Jan. 1 after a year of preparation. The Ohio Casino Control Commission has already approved more than 20 digital platforms and retail locations for wagering, while the lottery is working to outfit more than 800 qualified businesses with wagering kiosks.
The BetJACK app is available for download through the App Store or via Google Play, and BetJACK has plans to launch those and its retail locations just after 12:01 a.m. on Jan. 1. The company owns two brick-and-mortar locations in Ohio — JACK Cleveland and JACK Thistledown — and has sportsbooks ready for action in both. The sportsbooks were part of a $100 million company-wide improvement plan.
